The ATL WEBFEST Board of Advisors is consists of representatives from the business, technology, and digital entertainment (television and film) industries. This multi-industry group was assembled to ensure that all voices are heard in the ongoing development of digital storytelling and web series communities across the Southeast.


Chidi Afulezi
redKola digital labs

Chidi Afulezi is Founder and Managing Principal of redKola digital labs, a product solutions and digital activation shop that works with businesses to deliver innovative technology and connected experiences to their marketplaces. Chidi has also had stints at various marquee firms in the music, telecom and cable industries, most recently serving as Product Director at Turner Broadcasting System where he was tasked to develop mobile/connected device product solutions for brands such as CNN, TNT/TBS and NCAA Digital.

Prior to Turner, Chidi was a Product Director with Time Warner Cable where he worked on new products and marketing for the Digital Voice business. He also served as Director of Business Development at Sony Music in NYC. His first gig out of college was as Wireless RF Engineer with AT&T Wireless, where he designed and deployed the region’s first wireless network in Baltimore City and surrounding counties.

Michael Ajakwe Jr.
Los Angeles Web Series Festival

As the founder of the world's first web series festival, Mike is a pioneer of digital proportions. Over the last four years, his festival has showcased over 700 web series and nearly 2000 webisodes– more than all of the other web series festivals on the planet combined and tripled. During that time, LAWEBFEST has held 120 panels and workshops and bestowed nearly 300 awards for outstanding achievement.

Michael also helped jump start Europe's first web series festival, the Marseille Webfest, Australia's first web series festival, the Melbourne Webfest and a host of others across the globe. A 25-year veteran of the entertainment industry, Mike is an Emmy-winning TV producer and a 3-time NAACP Image Award-winning tv producer.

Asante Bradford
Georgia Department of Economic Development

Asante Bradford is Project Manager for Digital Entertainment and Media for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the sales and marketing arm of the State of Georgia.

Asante helps promote the growth of the digital media industry as well as identify initiatives that will help grow businesses for the state of Georgia in interactive entertainment. He also helps educate potential prospects and provide clients with information about the Georgia Entertainment Industry Incentives Act.

Keynote Speaker for Hispanic Day on the Hill, KS by Gov. Sam Brownback's office, and Judge of the Festival Iberoamericano de Promociones y Eventos (FIP) since 2011.

John Thornton is an award-winning independent filmmaker and freelance cinematographer. As a cinematographer, he is drawn to anomalistic stories of strength triumphing over adversity, where the characters compel the audience to reflect, or the story encourages the audience to act. He has been fortunate to work with ABC Family, TLC, HGTV, AXS TV, Meddin Studios, and Walt Disney Picture. on several film and television projects, including 'Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta,' 'AXSLive TV,' 'Toddlers and Tiaras,' 'Lights! Camera! Christmas,' and 'Million Dollar Arm.'
